Secondary Grades 6th – 8th

Secondary

BJPA Junior High school students will prepare for college by focusing on core subject skills supplemented by practical elective courses.

The academic offerings and daily schedule in grades 6th – 8th will serve as a key transition from elementary to Middle/Jr. High school. As in Jr. high school, students benefit from the flexibility to begin tailoring their schedule and customized academics around their individual interests and from the diversity of teachers who specialize within their field. Increased extracurricular activities and a growing social awareness will bring energy and youthful enthusiasm to our student’s junior high years.

All BJPA our Jr. high school students will enter a liberal arts college preparatory program of study. This program will prepare our students for a post-secondary education by focusing on core subject skills supplemented by practical elective courses. Extensive training in grammar, literature, and composition, along with honors courses in math, science, and foreign language, will gives students a taste of academic rigor seen on the college level.

Each fall, our secondary students will be given the opportunity to take the PSAT/NMSQT reasoning skills assessment on campus. Additionally, in an effort to prepare for efficient college admission, all BJPA secondary students will take a nationally-recognized college readiness assessment prior to completion of the program.

Through the hard work and dedication we anticipate of our Secondary students and the data we gain from the ACT, the most common assessment that will be taken by BJPA’s students, We expect that BJPA students will score well above the state and national averages in each of the four areas tested.

As a college preparatory institution we will prepare and encourage each of our students to attend college. BJPA’s students who choose to enter a career straight out of high school will be equipped with the broad knowledge base and communication skills needed for success as well.

Alumni will be involved in fields such as business, education, engineering, medicine, military, ministry, and law, as well as various trades. BJPA’s staff will make it a point to praise the continued success of students as they diligently apply themselves to academic and extracurricular opportunities in preparation for future service to Christ.

Kindergarten and Elementary education programs are also available.
