Curriculum & Accreditation

BJPA will utilize the Abeka Academy program which is fully accredited by the Florida Association of Christian Colleges and Schools and the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools/ Commissions on Elementary and Secondary Schools.

Each parent will receive their children’s transcripts, report cards, progress reports, and ultimately diploma upon graduation; through our partnership with Abeka and all official documentation will read as such.

Abeka Book (Traditional Setting grades K4 – 8th)

For over forty years, schools have trusted Abeka Book to provide materials using the traditional approach proven successful throughout education’s history. Professionally illustrated textbooks, hands-on activities, challenging exercises, purposeful repetition, and the reinforcement of concepts from subject to subject will give your students all the tools necessary to make learning interesting and memorable.

The Abeka Curriculum Difference

Bell Joy Preparatory Academy will utilize Abeka’s proven approach to teaching; to help our students learn. It begins with Abeka’s traditional philosophy of education. This teacher-directed framework empowers teachers to focus students’ attention on the material they need to learn—in a context and sequence that will help them learn it best.

As students begin to grasp what’s being taught, newly acquired concepts and skills are fortified time and again using a method often referred to as college preparatory spiral learning.

Finally, students’ growing mastery of subject matter is strengthened because of the comprehensive design of our curriculum. Material taught in one subject is reinforced in other subjects. At every step of the way, students learn, apply, and master new concepts and skills.

Since education shouldn’t end with a diploma, our program will give our students a strong foundation for a lifetime of learning.

Objectives & Outcomes

What will students learn with the Abeka program? What kind of people will they become? We will lead your children, our students, down the path toward academic excellence and Christian character!

Our aim is for each student—either at in our distance learning program from home, or in the classroom—to grow intellectually, morally, and spiritually.

INTELLECTUAL                      MORALLY                             SPIRITUAL

Intellectual: Our teachers will instruct from a practical, traditional approach that will develop your students intellectually. They’ll be able to demonstrate appropriate grade-level knowledge aligned with our scope and sequence, achieve or exceed grade-level scores on nationally normed standardized testing, and pursue a college program of study.

Morally: Through traditional teaching designed to help instill good character and by meeting program expectations, students will be able to display personal integrity in their everyday lives and discern right from wrong.

Spiritual: Because of daily Bible instruction and use of a Christian curriculum, students will be able to apply biblical truths from God’s Word to their own lives, demonstrate knowledge of the doctrines of the Bible, and choose prayer and memorizing Scripture to grow in their faith.
